🎨 First Day-te ?πŸ“–
6.15.22

Cats, art, music, what more could a person want in a first date? The date was a total of a whopping 14 hours, starting at 10:30 AM and ending at 12:30 AM. We started at the enchanted cat cafΓ© where we shared our life stories amidst Brenda's various adorable yet alarming allergic reactions. Deciding I did not want to kill my future wife on the first (or any) date we left and had some a fresh seafood lunch by the riverside at smees. Going to the Axe Bar downtown Brenda channeled her surprisingly long family ancestry of loggers and kicked my butt at some axe throwing. Feeling bad at having brutally killed the plank of wood we frolicked through the rose garden and walked along the river at Idlewild Park. As evening came we had some killer dinner at Antonio's and an even more killer desert at yogurt beach. Finally Brenda showed me some tips and tricks on how to improve my drawing. It was certainly a day I will never forget and forever cherish.

🏞️ Sooner In Spooner πŸ₯„
6.16.22

On Our second date Brenda and I hiked up to Spooner Lake. It was there that she fulfilled a previous promise of showing the beauty of nature to me as I had told her that I spent most of my life indoors. Stopping along the trail every now and then she would point to a plant and tell me all about. Completely captivated, I would watch as Brenda finished her insightful lecture, eyes sparkling, whereupon she would eat the plant to my utter shock. After laughing, talking, and more laughing we sat down together and had picnic while we read the Lord's word.

After working at Jennifer's ranch Brenda decided to introduce me to her other friends at the rootin' tootin' town of Virginia City. Following a few meets and greets we had some tea and talked about various novel ideas. Socially exhausted yet feeling as adventurous as ever, Brenda and I decided to walk a nearby trail. As we hiked up one of mountains, we heard some shooting in the distance and decided to take cover under a large shrub. As soon as we thought the shooting stopped we tried to get up but a bullet whizzed nearby us giving me a very entertaining yet terrifying demonstration of the doppler effect. Dropping to the ground and hiding behind a fairly large shrub we scouted the land and located our cold blood attempted killers, a family! They were doing some shooting practice nearby our hiking trail and after a brief hollering match it was evident that the spirt of Wyatt Earp was possessing those poor souls into thinking that their targets in the same direction we were was "perfectly safe". After that they continued shooting. Another bullet bounced near us and eventually we were able to get a good enough reception to contact 911. At the end of the day the police handled the situation and we got back to VC safely. Extremely upset at the day's events Brenda apologized profusely for something that was not even close to her fault. Wanting to calm her down I made a shot of my own and gave her a smooch (our first kiss 😊).

The Crawl 🧟 πŸ‘» πŸ§›

Brenda and Gabriel attended the Reno Zombie Crawl event and had a blast looking at the various costumes and participating in fun activities.

One night while cooking smores and gazing at the twinkling stars Gabriel pulled out a pumpkin for carving. Little did Brenda know a special engagement gift was hidden within, a gauntlet!

Fi phi pho fum, Gabriel had a fall on the ice after trying out ice skating. Luckily the ankle was only twisted and everyone was able to recall the event as an n"ice" time.
